Founded on 9th July 2025, Social Sutra was born from a simple yet powerful belief — that true change begins when compassion meets action.
The name “Social Sutra” reflects who we are. 'Sutra', meaning thread, represents our mission: to weave connections between those in need and those who care.
Each initiative is a thread — spun with purpose, empathy, and hope. At Social Sutra, we don't just offer help — we help people see dreams, and then walk with them to weave those dreams into reality.
From teaching children and empowering women, to nurturing sustainability and promoting grassroots health and awareness — our work is grounded, personal, and purpose-driven.

Social Sutra is more than a name — and its logo, more than a symbol. Every logo carries meaning. Ours is a visual promise — of purpose, connection, and change.
At the heart of the Social Sutra logo lies the dandelion — a simple flower, yet rich in meaning. It stands for beginnings, resilience, and rooted strength. Just as dandelion seeds travel far and wide, we believe in spreading hope and opportunity, starting at the grassroots.
To represent 'Sutra' — the thread that binds — we drew inspiration from the traditional art of hand-spun threads. This symbolizes our approach: organic, intentional, and deeply rooted in community.

Alisha Vijoy, the visionary behind Social Sutra, is a communication expert by profession and a changemaker at heart. Her professional journey began in 2009 with an advertising agency, where she played a key role in shaping brand narratives through impactful marketing and promotional strategies.
Alankrita Vijoy
Trustee, Social Sutra
A passionate advocate for education and social change, Alankrita desires to bring transformative changes to communities she works for. She brings in academic exposire to sciences and IT along with Data Analytics. Currently also exploring how to benefit social sector with application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
